Southern Water's £100 million Southampton Link Main project is set to revolutionize water management in Hampshire. This ambitious scheme involves constructing an impressive 19km of pipeline, a feat of engineering that will ensure the region's water supply remains robust and reliable. The pipeline will stretch from Otterbourne to the Yew Hill reservoir near Winchester, and then continue its journey south to the Rownhams water supply works on the outskirts of Southampton. This extensive network will alleviate pressure on two crucial rare chalk streams, safeguarding their health and longevity.
